Mask Monday: Live Green Natural Blueberry Energizing Facial Mask

This week’s mask is the Live Green Natural Blueberry Energizing Facial Mask. We picked this up in a set at TJ Maxx and figured we’d give them a try!

This mask promises to “nourish and revitalize” skin, leaving “youthful, radiant skin.” Sounds good to us!

DH was a willing to give this mask a go. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a huge fan initially because it wasn’t sticky enough to actually wrap around his face. However, DH reports that the mask smelled nice and his face felt smooth and soft afterward. I guess we’ll give the rest of these masks a go!

Mask Monday: Loverecipe AcaiBerry Mask

Today’s mask is the Loverecipe AcaiBerry Mask.

41CNct-hjgL

This mask is “infused with acai berry extract for keeping skin radiant and firm.”

The mask went on nicely and fit my face well. There were no annoying flaps over the eyes or anything, so I was happy. There was a good amount of serum, but not too much, which was definitely nice. I hate when the serum is dripping off the mask and getting everywhere. The mask smelled faintly of flowers, and felt cooling while on. I didn’t notice any significant immediate effects from the mask, but my skin did feel a bit tighter, so that’s good, I guess?

Mask Monday: Biobelle #staygorgeous Face Mask

This week we have the Biobelle #staygorgeous Face Mask.

DH of course is a trooper, so he took one for the team this week. We’ve liked Biobelle masks in the past, so I was looking forward to seeing how this one performed. The #staygorgeous mask promises to “hydrate and nourish your skin” using almond oil and vitamin E.

DH reports that the mask smelled really nice and felt pretty good on the face. He thought it was refreshing on the skin, and actually did what it claimed — hydrated and nourished the skin. So far, we’re 2 for 2 with the Biobelle masks!

What is your favorite mask? Do you prefer sheet masks or spread on masks?

Mask Monday: L’Oréal Exfoliate & Refine Red Clay Mask

Up this week for Mask Monday we have the L’ORÉAL Exfoliate & Refine Red Clay Mask.

This mask promises that it “addresses rough and clogged skin to reveal a polished, pore-minimized and smooth complexion.” It’s supposed to make skin appear “refined and smooth” with “visibly minimized” pores. With claims like that, what’s not to love!?

I actually liked this mask pretty well. It had a fairly strong medicinally floral scent, which I kind’ve enjoyed. It definitely tingled quite a bit, which I also liked. Afterward, my skin did look smoother, and my pores appeared a little smaller. So I guess it actually worked! Yay! I love it when things actually do what they’re supposed to!

Mask Monday: Tony Moly Hyaluronic Acid Mask Sheet – Hydrating

Today’s mask is from TonyMoly — the Hyaluronic Acid Mask Sheet – Hydrating.

tonymoly-mask

This mask promises to “provide moisture and nutrition to damaged skin, soothe stressed skin, and give a rich glow to skin.”

DH loves him a nice mask, so he agreed to try it out. 🙂

Apparently it smells nice, even though DH wondered what the little black specks in the mask were (we think they’re cotton fibers). Other than that though, this mask was wholly unmemorable.  As in, DH doesn’t even remember wearing it.  Whoops. Note to self – ask for impressions immediately after using a mask!

What skin care products do you use?

Mask Monday: BioBelle #iwokeuplikethis sheet mask

Today we’re looking at the BioBelle #iwokeuplikethis mask with Wild Rose & Vitamin C. This mask is non-toxic, with no parabens, GMOs or gluten, and is “infused with proven, naturally derived substances, essential oils and gentle preservatives, with visible effects after just the first use.” I thought the packaging was really cute.

This mask smelled a little bit like roses, which makes sense, since they’re supposed to be an active ingredient.

I liked this mask pretty well. It felt cooling on the skin, and maybe a little bit tingly. It actually stayed on my face, which is always nice for a sheet mask. Once I removed the mask and rinsed my face off, as per the directions, my skin really felt quite nice! I was very pleased. My skin felt and looked really smooth and taut, and my face looked less red and blemishes were not as apparent — some of the things that the packaging promised!

Overall, I was duly impressed — this is one of the only masks I’ve tried that actually made a noticeable (not major, but definitely noticeable) improvement with just the 20 minutes the mask was on! Yay! I’ll definitely try this again!

Mask Monday: Spa life Avocado Sheet Mask

Today we have a mask from Spa Life — the Avocado Sheet Mask.

This mask was okay. Nothing special, really. It smelled fine and felt fine on the face. However, the little flaps for the eyes kept flipping up into the eye area, which was super annoying. Definitely not a fan of that. As a result, I wouldn’t really recommend this mask. Again, it was okay, and at $2.50 it’s on the cheaper side for a mask, but the eye flap flip happened the entire time I was wearing it, so that I couldn’t really do anything while wearing the mask — even playing on my iPad. Bleh.

Oh well. Have you tried this mask before? What did you think?
